Overview
Organic-based farm practices training are given to qualified IMP members and agrarian reform beneficiaries who are into farming and willing to adopt and practice organic farming.
The training is designed to meet the requirements of the farmer-partners’ capability building needs and instill in them an appreciation on the Bayanihan economics mindsent and sustainable agri-based entrepreneurship. It centers on organic-based agricultural production as a sustainable livelihood enterprise which provides a promising market potential. It covers topics on organic-based farming practices, entrepreneurship, financial management, supply chain, and farmer-partners cluster formation.
Training Module and Structure
The training will be composed of nine modules i.e., (1) overview of organic farming, (2) biopesticide, (3) organic fertilizer, (4) organic rice and vegetable production, (5) introduction to entrepreneurship, (6) financial management, (7) financial literacy, (8) supply chain, and (9) farmer-clustering. Open forums, sharing and hands-on activities will also be conducted after the lectures to ensure that the farmer-partners understood the topics and learned the skills. Selected agripreneurs from the first training will be requested to share their experiences and insights in certain topics.
